Blogging can be a pain.
I'm a hacker kind of guy and really don't like blogging with all the fancy tools available in sites like Wordpress and Blogger. So I'm really happy that I found Jekyll.
I was reading Werner Vogels' Blog post about migrating his blog to S3 (which I have done also) and noticed a reference to Jekyll. Jekyll is a utility written in Ruby which is text-oriented but blog-aware. This means that I can write up my blog posts using Markdown or Textile offline at my leisure then have Jekyll and s3cmd handle my blog generation and S3 syncing once I'm online.
Who knows? Maybe I'll even blog more often now. :)
